If Carlsberg wrote testimonials…

by

…they couldn’t better this from Matt Pucci of MP Tuition and Matt Pucci Writes:

“Paula Battle is a real pain in the neck. It’s not enough for her to simply do the job you’ve commissioned her to do—and that job could be anything from building you a slick new website, to providing detailed feedback on a piece of writing you’re working on. It’s not enough for her to do these things brilliantly, either. No; what really grates is that Paula is relentlessly proactive in getting you to do things that she knows will benefit your business, raise your profile, or generally just keep you moving in the right direction, whatever you’re trying to achieve. It’s so annoying…

Seriously, though. Any success I’ve had with articles I’ve written, landing jobs, or in gaining new clients, has been, in some way or other, thanks to Paula. She is an absolute dream to work with: patient, skilled, highly knowledgeable, and—above all—a thoroughly wonderful human being. In this sense, Paula is indispensable. Even at my most broke I’d find a way of keeping Paula working for me.”

A New Year resolution for the anti-resolutionist…

by

Even if you’re the most resolute of anti-resolutionists, the New Year brings with it an inevitable period of reflection. As we stumble out of our ‘mint-matchmakers and mince-pies’ flavoured haze, pack away the decorations for another year and remember that there is life outside of the TV screen, we take a look at the to-do list and need to stop and think before jumping feet-first into new projects. A face for radio

by

Today I made my radio debut.  That’s  ‘sat in a studio’ radio as opposed to ‘hogging the mic at a charity event’ radio.

I’m much more used to being behind the scenes, very happy to coach others in how to address a camera, or a microphone (you know what they say about ‘those who can’t’), and I don’t mind admitting that I was scared.

Still, in the spirit of “Do one thing every day that scares you”, I meekly made my way to the Luton home of BBC 3Counties Radio. [Read more…]
